31st October:
Jalgaon City Municipal Corporation approves Cess with 0.25% tax rate:

Amongst one of most traders favoring decision, Jalgaon City Municipal Corporation general body approved implementation of Cess tax from 01st April 2009 with notional rate of 0.25% on all commodities and waiving off on vegetables, life essential commodities, seeds and medicines. Opposition members made strong protest to unified rate with likely purview of state government rejecting it.
Administration would now send these rates to State Government for final approval. It has shown deferred opinion in unified low rates quoting it to be of financial weakening for Jalgaon Corporation already in financial woes. It would request State to implement its suggested minimal rates that are in variation of 1 to 4% depending on commodity. Body has also demanded special compensation package from State
Industries and traders have rejoiced this decision of unified lowest rates quoting it to be business booster for lowering wholesale trades amidst competitive wholesale markets. This reduction if finally approved would also lead to easing in fuel prices in Jalgaon city.

JDCC Bank - increasing reserved losses and need of strong political willingness:
Jalgaon district central co-operative bank (JDCC) is witnessing continuous increase of reserved losses, rising outstanding with members. Bank has strong history of over 92 years of establishment and has over 1,500 Crores of deposits from all sectors.
Bank now needs strong governmental support for recovering its loans and most importantly strong political willingness to take it out of losses and make it one of best profitable co-operative venture.

District's eight players selected in State team:
Jalgaon district's eight players have been selected in Maharashtra State team for 18th G. V. Mavalankar National shooting competition from 03rd until 12th November at Guwahati in Assam. This includes Prakash Dilip Gawali (0.177 air pistol - 10 meters - men's senior category), Sachin Madhukar Patil and Shailesh Prakash Deore (0.177 open site air rifle - 10 meters men's senior category). It also includes Millind Prakash Deore, Nikhil Ravindra Mahajan and Ashish Kailash Tiwari in 0.177 open site air rifle - 10 meters men's junior category) and Tilottama Ashok Shinde in 0.177 meters open site air rifle in 10 meters junior women's category.

This year's Diwali festivity had key attraction of lower amount of crackers usage and wonderful lighting decorations at various governmental and public sector organisations along with individual houses.

Vigilance week from 01st November:
District Anti-corruption bureau is conducting vigilance week from 01st November until 07th November. It plans to conduct various programs on this eve and give oath of no corruption to all government officers.

Lord Rama Rath festivity - 136th grand Rath festivity:
Jalgaon District's most ancient traditional culture of Rath festivity is entering into its 136th year of celebration. Jalgaon city's rural deity Lord Rama temple Rath festivity begins on 29th and continues until 09th November.
Saint Appaji Maharaj established this temple in 1872 by uniting various castes and communities. Festivity begins every Kartik Shuddha Pratipada and ends on Tripurari Pornima on 13th November with various religious enchanting.

Corporation receives Cess tax rates, calls special meeting on 30th October:
Jalgaon city Municipal Corporation has received State government suggestive rates for implementing Cess tax from 01st November. It has called for special meeting on 30th October to finalise on Cess tax implementation. Corporation Ruling party earlier has requested State to implement from 01st April 2009 which was rejected by State government.
Meanwhile Corporation has also received 1.10 Crores special fund for various developmental works under 12th Finance commission. This mainly includes waste management and various other developmental projects.

NAFED to begin cotton buying from 03rd November:
National agricultural co-operative marketing federation of India Ltd. Is beginning cotton buying through its five centers in Khandesh from 03rd November. This includes Jalgaon, Dhule, Amalner, Jamner and Pachora centers to be setup at locations having ginning and pressing units.

Tilottama Shinde wins Gold in National shooting competition:
Jalgaon district rifle association member and government polytechnic student Tilottama Ashok Shinde has won gold medal in All India Surendra Singh Inter-school rifle-shooting competition conducted at Meerut in Uttar Pradesh from 21st until 25th October. Competition had participation of 658 players from across Country.

Diwali festivity begins with Vasu-barasa and Dhan Trayodashi:

Entire Khandesh region witnessed joyous beginning of Diwali festivity with celebration of Vasu-Barasa on Saturday followed by Dhan Trayodashi on Sunday. Vasu-Baras festivity has worshipping of Cows and calf. Gold jewelers in region witnessed enormous response from all around on eve of Dhan Trayodashi yesterday.

Madhukar sugar factory targets 3.50 Lakhs sugarcane processing:
Madhukar co-operative sugar factory has set ambitious target of 3.50 Lakhs tones of sugarcane processing for its 33rd this season boiler inauguration. Factory has availability of 2.50 Lakhs tones of sugarcane in its area and aims nearby areas arrival as well.

Waghur dam canal works begin:
District irrigation department has initiated Waghur dam canal works. This canal water would benefit 51 villages in Jalgaon taluka by availing water for crops to Asoda and Bhadli region farmers. The right canal would primarily benefit Jalgaon taluka's 14,960 hectares land while left one would enrich 2,024 hectares land from Bhusawal taluka. Jalgaon taluka canal would be 41kms length while Bhusawal taluka canal would be of 24kms.

District players selected for National pre-competition taekwondo camp:
Jalgaon district's three players have been selected for training camp of inter-school national taekwondo competition. Camp is at Sindhudurg and has participation of Komal Mahajan, Trupti Tayade and Ankita Patil from Jalgaon district. State team would participate in national competition at Goa from 01st November.

25th October:
Diwali festivity begins from today:

Festivity of lights and sparkling joy DIWALI is beginning today with Vasu-Barasa festivity. Laxmi Poojan is on Tuesday, 28th October and has various Muhurat after 6PM in evening. Vasu Barasa follows Dhan Trayodashi on 26th October, Narak Chaturdashi on 27th and Laxmi Poojan on 28th October.

Jalgaon airport works - farmers submit consent letters:
Kusumba and Nashirabad based farmers have submitted their consent letters to district administration for Jalgaon airport land acquisition Process. Administration would now initiate other processes today to arrive at finalization of processes and transfers of land to government owned State airport development Company for further works.

Jalgaon city municipal Corporation to implement Cess tax from 01st November:
Jalgaon city Municipal Corporation has received State notification for implementation of Cess tax from 01st November. Corporation has introduced adequate measures for collection process through its own staff.

JDCC Bank elections - 181 nominations valid:
Jalgaon district central co-operative bank term elections nomination scrutiny process has completed. Final valid nominations count has reached to 181 for 31 seats of 364 nominations received. Last date of withdrawal of nominations is 07th November. This has also lead to clear victory (unopposed) state for three candidates.

Haryana, Punjab and UP wins National women's tug of war championship:
All India 21st women's tug of war competition ended yesterday in Jalgaon with Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh teams winning in 5 different categories. Maharashtra secured third rank. Haryana won 400kg and 440kg, Punjab won 480kg and 560kg while Uttar Pradesh won 520kg category.

Third State swimming competition of handicapped today in Jalgaon:
Jalgaon district swimming association for disabled is conducting third state swimming competition for handicapped at district stadium. Competition has received entries from 125 swimmers from across the State. Competition is being played in sub-junior, junior and senior boys' and girls' category in 50 meters, 100 meters free style, breast stroke, back stroke and butterfly types.

24th October:
Cold begins in region:

Entire Khandesh region has now started witnessing seasonal cold arrival. Mercury has fallen significantly in last 5 days. This is easing atmosphere October heat and daytime heat as well.

Administration enforces 37(1) and 37(3) order in district:
Jalgaon district administration has enforced Bombay Police Act, 1951 section 37(1) and 37(3) in district to maintain law and order situation amidst festive season. This order remains in effect until 04th November 2008.

National women's tug of war championship ends today:
All India Women's National tug of war championship is ending today. Maharashtra team failed to retain victory march. Maharashtra secured third rank in 400kg, 480kg and 560kg category and fourth rank in 440kg category.
Maharashtra-B team has entered into finals of 520kg category and has final match versus Uttar Pradesh. Haryana and Delhi would play in finals of 440kg category. All final matches are being played today. Prize distribution ceremony is in today evening.

Jalgaon City Corporation to implement Cess from 01st November:

Jalgaon City Municipal Corporation is implementing Cess tax from 01st November 2008. State has rejected its demand of differed implementing from 01st April 2009. Administration has initiated its full measures for implementation through its staff.

Central government grains buying begin:
Central government's year 2008-09 guaranteed rates grains buying has began in Jalgaon district at its 12 centers. This includes Amalner, Chopda, Raver, Savda, Yaval, Chalisgaon, Pachora, Erandol and Dharangaon and rest centers would start soon. Amalner has received best response of these centers.

JDCC Bank elections - 364 nominations filed:
Jalgaon district central co-operative Bank election nomination filling process ended yesterday. Administration has received 364 nominations and it would scrutinize all applications today. Last date of withdrawing nominations is 07th November and clear picture would be available only after this date.

National women's tug of war championship - day 2:
District tug of war association conducted national 21st women's tug of war championship day-two witnessed dominant play by Maharashtra players. Delhi was on rank#2. It is being played in morning and evening sessions. Quarterfinals begin from today.

22nd October:
Corporation to conduct special general body meeting to approve Cess implementation:

Jalgaon city Municipal Corporation has received minimum rates chart from State government for Cess tax. It would now conduct a special general body meeting around 27th October to get final node from general body for implementation. Earlier Corporation body has sent resolution to State for implementing Cess from 01st April 2009. State is yet to confirm this implementation.

National women's tug of war competition inaugurated:
District tug of war association conducted 21st national tug of war competition begun yesterday. Competition had inaugural match between Uttarakhand and Maharashtra in 480kg category. Competition continues until 24th October and has 325 players from all across Country.

JDCC Bank elections review:
Jalgaon district's apex co-operative bank JDCC bank election processing is in full pace. Yesterday nominations count reaches to 233 from 139 candidates. Bank has 14 constituencies with around 5,750 voters. Many existing senior politicians and existing board members have filed their nominations here.

21st October:
Jalgaon airport development - Land acquisition final notification approved:

District administration has received final approval to Jalgaon Airport land acquisition notification. Administration is acquiring land of 134 farmers from Kusumba and Nashirabad. This has 84 farmers from Nashirabad with 138.94 hectares land and 106.59 hectares land of 50 farmers from Kusumba. It would lead to landless status to Kusumba's 47 farmers and 28 from Nashirabad, low landholder status to 13 and very-low landholder status to 6 farmers. Administration would now initiate acquisition process and would pay sum once process is completed.

District sugarcane farmers to get State compensation:
Jalgaon districts over 2,500 farmers having sugarcane lying with them for 2007-08 seasons on 2,605 hectares area would receive State special compensation of Rs. 25,000 per hectare totaling to six Crores 51 Lakhs 27,000 Rupees special fund. Administration has appointed 12 members panel for faster distribution of this compensation to farmers on or before 24th October. Chopda taluka had maximum sugarcane lying in this year.

Women's tug of war national championship begins today in Jalgaon:
District tug of war association is all set to host 21st National women's tug of war championship at district sports complex. Competition has participation of 11 States 28 teams with 325 players and 60 officials. Competition would be inaugurated today evening and is open for all with prize distribution on 24th October.

Cottonomics 2008 - CCI begins cotton buying in district:

Cotton Corporation of India has begun its cotton buying in Jalgaon district at various locations. This has led to increase in private parties buying rates. CCI is availing 2,850 per quintal rate. This has led to good rush of farmers in CCI centers. Private parties are now buying at 2,700 to 2,750 per quintal. Farmers are expecting around 3,000 rates for this season crop.

19th October:
Gold and silver rates dip following international markets:

Gold and silver rates witnessed slashing effect following international markets rate dipping down. Gold was sold in wholesale markets at 12,585 and at Rs. 13,000 in retail. Last week gold had 14,300 rates. Silver was at 17,975 per KG in wholesale and 18,300 in retail markets.

International Dhamma Conference today in Bhusawal:
Boddha community has organized international Dhamma conference today at Pandharinath Nagar in Bhusawal city. Conference has a host of activities and religious events on the eve.

Burhanpur violence hurts banana producers:
Jalgaon district banana producers are facing hard time with Burhanpur still not normalizing after violent turnout. Around 400 trucks of banana are waiting on MP border to enter in to region for further selling. Agricultural producers committee is also seeing lowering inputs and State transport Raver depot has stopped all its ferries towards Burhanpur since this violence.

Sindhi community Varsi festivity begins in Jalgaon:

Saint baba Hardasram's 28th and Saint Kanwarram 48th annual Varsi festivity began yesterday in Jalgaon amidst grand presence of community fellows from all around Country and other parts of world. It began in auspicious presence of community saints and with "Guru Granthsaheb" enchanting.
Festivity continues until Monday, 20th October and has various religious activities throughout day at Seva Mandal in Kanwar Nagar, Sindhi colony area. Another key attraction of festivity is Anand Mela organised here.

Corporation standing committee meeting review:
Jalgaon city Municipal Corporation Standing committee met yesterday to review various topics on its agenda. It has approved net discount of 10% on house taxes payment for those having gone into appeal and would get verdict from Public courts. Corporation has huge number of cases in appeal against its unfair house tax structure. Body also approved maintenance work for administrative building lifts, housing project survey, Medicines in Corporation hospitals at estimated cost of Rs. 39 Lakhs and ecological survey estimated at 4.95 Lakhs cost.

NMU announces rescheduled timetable for October exams:
North Maharashtra University Jalgaon has announced new schedule for its few papers cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances. It had Education courses, physical education, arts, and Commerce and science papers on this day.
New timetable as under:
B. P. Ed. Exam - 20th to 25th October
B. Ed. - 21st to 25th October and 01st to 02nd November
T. Y. B. A., B. Com, B. Sc. - 05th to 10th November 2008 (earlier scheduled papers from 06th until 12th October)
FY, SY and TY papers - 01st and 02nd November (earlier set on 13th and 14th October).

National Tug of war competition from Monday in Jalgaon:
Jalgaon district Tug of War association and State unit are jointly conducting National Women Tug of war competition beginning in Jalgaon from Monday, 20th October. It would continue for five days in 3 different categories and would have participation of around 500 players and 100 officials from 20 different States.
It has 10th National competition of sub-junior (Under-17) category, 21st National competition of Junior (Under-19) category and 21st National competition of seniors (open) category. Prize distribution ceremony is on 24th October.

Dhule Municipal Corporation election on 30th November:
Dhule Municipal Corporation, Dhule district council and Nandurbar district council are undergoing term elections on 30th November followed by counting on 01st December. Both Districts' all 10 Panchayat would undergo election on 30th November while counting would be on 02nd December.
Election Code of Conduct has been implied in both districts with effect from yesterday and electronic voting machines would be used for voting purposes. Dhule Council has 67 wards. Nomination filling process begins from 07th and continues until 14th November, scrutiny on 15th November, formal listing on same day and 18th November as last day of withdrawing nominations followed by sign distribution on 19th November. Dhule district administration has now removed curfew imposed and continued for a longer time.

16th October:
Monsoon review - 8 out of 14 dams full:

Jalgaon district has witnessed around 75% of average rainfall in this monsoon season. Most of areas have good raining leading to sufficient water levels in various dams. District's 8 out of 14 dams are touching their 100% marks while rests have adequate storage. This includes Hatnur, Girana and other minor projects touching 100% marks. Still two Nakshatra for raining are pending.

JDCC bank elections - nomination-filling process begins today:
Jalgaon district central Co-operative Bank board of directors' election is scheduled on 22nd November 2008 for 31 seats and counting on 24th November. Nomination process begins today. Board of Directors constituency pattern has one each from taluka from primary farming Societies constituency along with one from industrial co-operative society constituency, one from goods sales and processing societies, one from employed Servicemen co-operative society. It also has one from urban Peoples bank/ urban co-operative societies, 2 from milk Producers co-operative societies, one from housing construction co-operative societies, one from other than these co-operative societies, one from partially individual shareholders, one from SC/ ST, one from OBC, one from NT, one from economically weaker section and 3 reserved for Ladies.
Nomination process continues until 22nd October followed by scrutiny on 23rd, primary listing on 24th and last date of withdrawing nominations would be 07th November.

Belganga sugar factory to inaugurate boiler on 25th October:
Chalisgaon based Belganga co-operative sugar factory is beginning it's this season boiler inauguration on 25th October. Factory is in final state of repairing its machinery to start work. Primary estimates suggest around 1-Lakh tones of sugarcane processing.

Dhawal Hemnani selected in State cricket team:
Jalgaon's left-handed fast bowler Dhawal Hemnani has been selected in State Under-19 cricket team to participate in western divisional Ranaji trophy cricket competition beginning at Ahmadabad from 22nd October. He is in State team's final 15 selected. Last year has been selected in Under-17 team.

Swapna Wani wins two gold medals in National swimming competition:
Jalgaon based Swapna P. Wani has won two gold and two silver medals in national aquatic federation conducted swimming competition at Indore. She won in 100-meters butterfly, 100-meters free style gold and 100-meters back stroke and 200 meters free style categories.

Aurangabad bench of Mumbai high court orders re-hearing of JDCC Bank electoral roll:

Mumbai High Court Aurangabad bench has ordered Collectorate re-hearing of JDCC Bank electoral roll on grounds of upcoming election. District leaders earlier filed a complaint of alleged improper listing of many societies. Earlier bank administration published electoral roll on 20th August.

Kojagiri Pornima - District milk producers targets 6 Lakh liters of milk sales:

Jalgaon district's milk producers have set record target of 6-Lakh liters of milk sales on eve of Kojagiri Pornima today. Jalgaon milk union has set ambitious target of 5-Lakh liters distribution. Jalgaon city has routine milk consumption of around 60,000 liters per day, which would double on this eve.

Divisional State sports competition in Nashik from 16th October:
Nashik divisional various sports competition are beginning from 16th October in Nashik district. This includes gymnastics, shooting, archery inter-school divisional plays; throw ball and hockey state competitions. 13th October:
Rapid action force and SRPF takes city's charge:

District Police has initiated stringent measures to curb down rumors generated panic throughout region. It has called for central reserved police force's rapid action force and 3 companies of state reserved force. Police has also seized 10 swords spread and distributed for causing violence and has arrested 28 in this connection. District now has 222 police officers of rapid action force, 200 from SRPF, 4 Dy. S.P., 40 P.S.I. additional called along with existing force. District Police has appreciated Jalgaonities for keeping hands with Police and maintaining patience to raster such anti-social elements.

North Maharashtra University cancels supplementary exams:
North Maharashtra University Jalgaon has cancelled its various streams October supplementary exams scheduled from 6th until 14th October following continued curfew and violent situation in Dhule. Exam would continue as per timetable from 15th October. NMU would announce new schedule for these papers later.

District's 65 villages receive dispute-free village award:
Jalgaon district's 65 villages have been nominated for dispute free villages award by State. It has availed 1 Crore 25 Lakhs and 25,000 price for Jalgaon district under this program. This includes 18 villages from Pachora taluka. Chahardi and Varkhedi have been nominated for Peace award.

Khandesh Maratha community youth introduction meet in November:

Violence rumors spread panic in Jalgaon city:

Jalgaon city witnessed panic turnout of rumors of violence in Shani Peth area yesterday evening at 8PM. This led to stampede in Old Jalgaon moving further in Fule Market and then Golani Market areas. District Police took immediate control of situation, went through all areas, and appealed citizens not to move with rumors and co-operate administration in handling this situation.
Police has also posted special battalion of State reserved Police in sensitive areas like Bhilpura, Shani Peth, Jainabad, Tambapur and Pimprala along with one each SRP Company at Dharangaon, Chopda and Parola.

Public representatives and administration meet on communal harmony:
Jalgaon Corporation conducted a joint meeting of district publicly elected representatives and administration yesterday to review post-Dhule communal violence situation. Meet evoked proper co-ordination and joint efforts between representatives and administration for availing best of peace and prosperity in district. Meet had participation of all public leaders and district administrative authorities. It would now conduct a public all-communities peace rally on Wednesday, 15th October. Rally would begin at Corporation by 11AM and would urge citizens to support charity for Dhule violence relief.

Jalgaon district Police has put a high alert mark following recent communal violence in Dhule and yesterday observed intense violent turnout in nearby Burhanpur in MP. Rumors spread and panic in due to violent turnouts is causing intense panic in all layers of society. Dhule Municipal Corporation has announced 50 Lakhs relief package for those affected and victimized in this violence. NCP has announced 15 Lakhs fund for this relief measure. Jalgaon district has sent special relief committee to Dhule. Dana bazaar traders association sent one truck of grains and wheat for relief measures.

Grains buying guaranteed rates announced:
Central government has announced Kharip season guaranteed rates for year 2008-09 for Jwar, Bazra, Corn and other weighted grains. These grains would get Rs. 840 per quintal rate with State level control room set up for facilitating farmers and avoiding distressed sales.

Rubby season - 109,000 hectares cultivation targeted:
District agricultural department has set ambitious target of 109,400 hectares cultivation in this Rubby season. This figure is 10,000 hectares more to last year and with special focus on land not cultivated during Kharip by cultivating Jwar and gram.
This includes Jwar - 22,300 hectares, Wheat - 31,400, Corn - 9,800, Gram - 30,620, safflower - 2,500, Sunflower - 2,880 and others - 400 hectares. Rubby season seeds and fertilizers are availed from October first week and farmers have initiated cultivation.

District's five Village Panchayat without election due to reservation conflict:
Jalgaon district's 5 village Panchayat are having no elections in last 8 years following reservation conflict. This is mainly due to availing of certificate from district administration for central government announced caste and category based reservation.
These villages are Pimpri, Bhalshiv, Nhavi Pra. Adavad, Borawal Bk and Shiragad (Yaval) and did not had election since Year 2000. Villagers are demanding schedule tribe's reservation while administration was availing them with OBC reservation. Anturli Ranjane (Amalner) villagers have protested public elections and have demanded exclusion from group Panchayat system with independent Panchayat. None of villagers here voted since December 2007.

Faizpur based Madhukar co-operative sugar factory is inaugurating its 33rd season boiler today. It is estimating processing of 3-Lakh tones of sugarcane through 4,402 hectares area sugarcane cultivation in its area. Factory made historic 505,295 metric tons of sugarcane and produced 536,600 bags of sugar from it.

Dhule turns to normalcy - situation tensed but under control:
State CM, Deputy CM, Central Home minister for State and many other ministers arrived in Dhule yesterday to anaylse post-communal violence situation. District administration is planning to reduce curfew hours step by step. State government has announced 5 Lakhs to families of those died, 50,000 to severely injured and 25,000 to partially injured in communal violence here. Death toll has risen to 9 with injuries to 250 by now.
Primary estimates have revealed losses amounting to around 15 Crores due to this turnout in form of burning, looting and damaging public properties. Police have arrested 277 in this connection and has increased force strength in region. It has called 550 police officers of State reserved Police force, rapid action force battalion along with two companies of CRPF.

Postal department introduces E-Posting service at 14 locations in district:
Bhusawal divisional postal department now has 14 post offices offering E-Posting services. This department had average inflow around 25,000 to 30,000 letters per day and it has now reduced to average of 10,000 letters a day. Department also has utility services money transfer service, business development, business post, retail post and greeting posts. Division now has 810 post boxes spread throughout region and has 706 staff strength.

Police made aerial firings to control the mob. Death toll has risen to 7. Police have arrested 250 in this connection and has initiated stringent measures to curb down communalism.
This violence has led to permanent handicapped status to 15, temporarily handicapped status to 50, Over 1,000 temporary houses burnt, 500 well constructed houses burnt, 800 shops burnt, 500 ferry vehicles burnt, 250 two-wheelers, 75 Auto Rickshaws and around 400 two wheelers partially burnt.

Corporation first general body meeting today:
Jalgaon City Municipal Corporation newly elected general body is having first meeting today. Meet has 24 topics on agenda. It mainly includes approval of Cess tax implementation, waive Octroi on fertilizers, new recruitments on grounds of new Jalgaon Corporation Transport service, represent Corporation on Jalgaon APMC and NMU, and approve pending cleanliness bills. Violent turnout continued for almost 10 hours with groups doing stone pelting, burning public properties and smearing glasses. Dhule district administration imposed curfew in afternoon at 16:30PM. This turnout has led to death of four and injuries to over 80. All public transports including State transport buses are stopped. Incidence had 8 policemen getting injured. Administration and police has urged peace and harmony to all citizens and co-operation to tackle in such difficult time. Jalgaon and Nandurbar districts have raised high alerts on grounds of this violence.

Jalgaon's medical College gets M.B.B.S. approval:
Dr. Patil Medical College located on National Highway#6 on Jalgaon - Bhusawal road has received Central government approval for starting up of 100-intake M.B.B.S. medical from academic year 2008-09. College would complete admission process by 15th October as per State directorate regulations.

Private Cotton buying begins at 2,800 per quintal:

Private parties have begun buying district cotton at Rs. 2,800 per quintal rate depending on quality. Marathwada and Vidarbha zone traders buy Khandesh cotton in large quantities every year. Nearby Burhanpur based ginning factories being large buyers influence buying rates. These factories are offering 2,700 to 2,800 per quintal rate currently.

ZP approves three primary health centers, 11 sub-centers:
Jalgaon district council (ZP) health committee met yesterday to discuss various projects. It has approved setting up of three new primary health centers and eleven sub-centers at various locations in district. It would setup primary health center at Paldhi (Jamner), Khadakdeola (Pachora) and Sindhad (Pachora) and Chinchkhed (Chalisgaon), Achalgaon (Bhadgaon), Chunchari (Yaval), Velhane Khu, Loni Bu VasantNagar (Parola), Khadka (Bhusawal), Kharola (Pachora), Bodhre (Bhadgaon), Mitawali (Chodpa) and Borjadi (Chopda).

Forestry department conducted competitions from today:
District forestry department is celebrating forestry week and has organized various competitions to celebrate this event. It includes essay writing, drawing and photography in various groups. Essay competition has my beloved forest animal, my jungle safari, Need of Zoo and ideal forestry plan as subjects. Drawing competition has various subjects for drawing.
