Life
in Jalgaon: Trade and needs focussed communities:
Jalgaon is a beautiful
small district located in Central location of the Country. Its geography has blessed
communities here with wonderful road and railways linking with easy reach to any
part of Country in overnight journey.
The Jalgaon city's traverse begun in
1940s when a chunk of Gujarati, Sindhi and Marwari community (GSM Band) arrived
in Jalgaon region in search of trade and businesses. Every trade later on expanded
with good inflow and overall multi-community open-minded business systems leading
Jalgaon to progressive path. The continued business and trade-focussed approach
faced tougher competitive challenges in 1990s when opening up of aggressive trade
markets like Akola, Nagpur and overall ease of direct reaching to initiating points.
This competition led Jalgaonities trim down profit margins along with exploration
of new avenues in sales. Cost-to-cost selling, taxes saved selling, volume selling,
buying-expenses reduced selling and many of such theories were applied in last
decade from 1990 until 2000. This process made a glossy impact of overall trade
psychology and system. The "Needs and trade" focussed approach took
birth amidst shadows of competitiveness and has now deep-rooted in region's overall
functionality.
The new Century arrived with welcome bang of open markets and
Liberal Government policies. This conceived beginning of service-oriented and
Technology driven entrepreneurship in the region. The toughest challenge service
driven industry finds in cosmopolitan medium sized city, as Jalgaon is appreciation
of services. Both Trade driven processes and Service-oriented works when well
synchronised leads Country to overall growth. We Jalgaonities need to broaden
our mindset to give a hearty welcome to this Technology and passion driven services
and let us implant Quality-driven competition rather than individual-focussed
competition to yield best of works and ethical values we could.
