Summer
heat, No Drinking water makes life worst:
The whole Jalgaon district is
witnessing one of worst times with drinking water supply system collapsing on
account of hectic load shedding, intense summer heat. The Jalgaon city dependent
on Girana dam water for drinking water supply faced huge water shortage with Girana
dam water not reaching the pumping station. As a result the Authorities made a
delayed and even midnight supplies making life worst. Huge queues for getting
water makes feeling more miserable with nothing concrete being done to permanently
resolve water issues. The water situation remains more panic at Taluka Places
and village levels with no political will to resolve with a vision.
On another
front, the summer heat continues to peak up with mercury crossing 41 Degrees mark.
As a result the whole city turns to Curfew like scene in afternoon times and the
heat effect continues till late nights. The huge tree cutting done 8-10 years
on name of development is now showing its effects. The Collectorate to DSP Bungalow
Chowk earlier having full covering of greenery finds no greenery or plantation
being done. The results will worsen with years ahead and if no steps are taken
towards tree plantation, results could be more alarming.

City's one of

of Jalgaon city seeing Octroi and no availability of space for extension problems.
The Plant established 24 years ago employees around 800 Jalgaonities and is suffering
losses of around 25-30 Lakhs per month on these factors.
Supreme is not just
first to move out, many of major national level Industries have moved out of Jalgaon
or to another location seeing increasing Inputs cost and labour problem. Amongst
another major reason for leaving out remains no coordination and support from
Jalgaon Corporation earning handsome Octroi tax money from incoming goods in these
Industrial units. Amongst most of units functional in Jalgaon are either Jalgaon
owned or those from outsiders are here seeing good centralised geographical location
only.
The earlier talked separation of Jalgaon Industrial Township from Municipal
Limits seems to be thrown down in cold box and no political will to keep employment
benefits to Jalgaonities.

Electricity
problem grim: "Life without Light" makes living hardest:
The
darkest hour of developing India is clearly visible now a day with Electricity
situation making life bleak. At one end where we proudly claim ourselves to be
developing skilled Nation, we have failed in our examinations. Our poor resource
and infrastructure facilities management are making living hardest for ourselves.
Electricity situation has never been this worst. The supply scenario is so
bad that there is no electricity for a whole day in a week that too based on Authorities
choices. Apart from this ZERO Load, there is a daily power cut of 6-7 hours in
urban areas (in two phases) while 12-14 hours of load shedding in rural areas.
The technology advancements along with small sized power generating units like
Invertors, UPS also get discharged with this kind of scenario.
The life without
Light has forced designers to think the Energy conservative way. The whole interior
designing system earlier made "The Dust-proof way" and "Air-conditioned
way" is being reinvented with "Minimum Energy Dependency" and optimal
use of Natural Air and light". The more surprising thing remains Electricity
bill. The earlier bimonthly bill has almost doubled cost in one month bill even
in such load shedding scenario. Electricity Engineers have confirmed that this
hiked bill is mainly due to two reasons. The earlier Analogue Meters are now replaced
with digital high accuracy electronic meters thereby generating on an average
25% more of bill and second most significant aspect is batteries in Inverters
and UPS stores power by charging during actual electricity supply. Generally speaking
one unit of power generated and stored by these devices requires 1.5/2 units of
actual electricity thereby resulting in huge electricity bills.
Maharashtra
never faced these kind of terrible power situation and if things are really worst
on generation front, it needs to learn quickly otherwise the whole businesses
and functions are going to be hit terribly in all aspects.

feeling lower sensing of lower portion of body etc.
The Jalgaon Corporation

citizens to take maximum precaution from it. As a precautionary measure, Corporation
