Khandesh's Diwali: An overview of Tradition:
Traditions are golden heritages of our India. Khandesh region's rural area still celebrates Diwali festivity with their traditional process. The festivity preparations begin with cleaning homes, repairing and painting if required. The Rangoli drawing remains one of key attraction of whole festivity with brides in home getting ready and drawing beautiful Rangoli in front of every home. The Diwali begins with 'Karashtami' i.e. Ashtami by worshipping Bhaldevi followed by distributing Sweets in form of 'Khir'. The festive joy continues with 'Baras' of Cows and calf added with worshipping and giving their 'Bajra Bhakar'. The women fast this day and the fasting ends in evening by taking 'Bajra Bhakri' sown by their own hands and eating food that has no touch with iron vessels.
The festivity cheer continues with preparation of Faral items like those that Ghugrya, Anarse, Shev, Shankarpale, Chivda, Sanjori made of Rava - Maida along with spicy Papdya made of pulse in form of spicy Laddu. The married women await invite from their parents as Dasra festivity arrives.
The real cherish begins with Dhan Trayodashi arrival. Every home starts using 'Utane' for 'Abhyang Snan'. The Trayodashi day marks worshipping Goddess Laxmi for blessings and continuing the charm. The Chaturdashi marks killing of evil and hence everyone takes bath before sunset and the one delaying is assumed to moving towards hell.
The Shop owners and traders worships their books of accounts, houses are decorated with Diyas and girls worship all senior male members in family. The festivity ends up with Bhaubeej when sisters adore their brothers and pray for their long lives. Married women go back to their In-Laws house after Ekadashi taking warmth memory of their parents.
The traditions are expunging out but the rural India still works hard to keep them up and pass on their generations.

19th October:
Good Evening Jalgaon:
City's Business Life begins from 10am with all shops, businesses and Government offices starting their work schedule. The life as and if compared to metros and Semis, is bit relaxing with first one hour spent in Banking and Payment collection. The Jalgaon region's business follows a different approach for traders. The Selling traders visit their resellers (mainly Semi-Wholesalers, retailers), take a Tea Break and get their due bills Payment collected. Since Jalgaon is a major trading hub for grains, Tea, Commission agents, these people have frequent Outstation Payment sending requirements. Many co-operative banks, credit societies cashed this utilisation and started offering Demand Drafts, At Par cheques at Commission rates lower than that of Nationalised Banks. Many of these societies started using National Level Online/ Any-branch banking private banker's accounts, offered their at-par cheques for Demand drafts. The new disgusting trend of "At Par cheque/ DD bouncing" started from Jalgaon. Banker having offered cheques from their accounts with little/ insufficient funds started bouncing and the trend has touched its peak with many reputed/ known companies rejecting such kind of at par cheques following no assurance of payments. At times, when Bankers are publicising of no need of going branches nationwide, Jalgaon business fellows spends over hours for depositing cash, cheques, and performing routine business transactions.
The market movement tracking comes next to payments Collection 'Vasuli' and banking work. Many of city's volume traders are routine securities investor and the commodities exchange fever has griped them as well. After spending chunk of time, they now relax a bit and comes Lunchtime from 1pm to 3pm. almost all wholesalers keep their shops closed from 1pm to 3pm for lunch. During lunchtime they update themselves with latest news happenings, stock info etc.
The Post-lunch time is dozing and dull until teatime at 4pm. The banking process finally updated and overlooked with stock markets makes beginning of actual trading and selling activity in bulk. Many resellers visit these wholesalers to check for various new commodities available with them. The Trade session continues until 8pm in night and retail markets until 9pm. The day end activity includes book keeping process and preparing for outstation visits checking. Many wholesalers have routine outstation trips fixed at weekdays. They visit and collect dues along with new orders and return back to home in evening/ night.
The Technology and modernisation in business is yet to touch the grass roots in the region. The Mobile Phone has become a common play item with every trader, most of whom are in learning process of using SMS Messaging for cost effective measures. The Ganeshji Maharaj Account still influences these traders and every shop has 'Shri Ganeshji Maharaj A/c' with virtual donations of Rs. 100/- or so credited every year.
City's Dana Bazar, Navi Peth zone is key work area added by Service Industry players' dominance in VV Market (Golani Complex), Medical Wholesalers (Both Old and New BJ Markets), and Retailers (Central Fule Market and Fule Market) along with private markets.

Get-Set-Go youth:
Hard work is pathway to glory and success in life. We come out of our education in a play along mood and when we come out to work, we find it utterly difficult to adjust with the work environment and pressure. Our today's young breed is living and getting educated in times when every activity has media exposure and exploitation. The journey begins with Education where Colleges are supposed to play much crucial role. Students coming out of Graduation and Post-Graduation degrees are not fine-tuned in the environment with all new items surrounding them.
Thirst for improvement and upgradation added with hard work could only help resolving these kinds of issues. Fresher coming out sees limelight and expects more returns on less work, that sometimes ruin their career prospects. Behind every success is a set of efforts added with hard work and waiting period to grab the best of life. Let us not forget the importance of being trained rather than jumping from one point to another.
