for demanding these allied services.
Amongst top demands include declaration
of Jalgaon's Banana producing belt as Export Oriented Agro Zone, inclusion of
banana in school food, and immediate stopping of load shedding in banana producing
zone. The Jalgaon District holds 21% share of Nation's overall banana production
and employs 60,000 farmers and labours for the same. The Railways earn Rs. 33
Crores as revenue from Banana transportation from Jalgaon. India's newly announced
National Fruits and horticulture Production Development plan does not includes
Jalgaon District is another hot debate issue for Jalgaonities. Surprising to note
factor was that Jalgaon was in primary list of this plan and the authorities started
implementation of the same and did received proposals worth Rs. 2.32 Crores and
thereby demanded additional Rs. 2 Crores seeing good response. The Authorities
were disappointed to see the revert reply that Jalgaon has been eliminated from
the development plan.
Inclusion of Jalgaon in this plan would have enabled
authorities to avail good quality seeds, cooling, tissue culture and latest technology
related financial aids to Jalgaon thereby promoting overall development. Additionally
announcing as development zone would lead to change of railways goods transportation
category from Parcel to Goods which would result another 40% reduction in logistics.

Jalgaon Cottonmics to end early:
Low raining
causing less than 50% production of cotton crops this year has turned down Jalgaon
Cottonmics resulting in very low arrival of cotton in State buying and private
cotton centres. As a result the routinely five month long cotton procurement process
may end up one and half months in advance to routine. Routinely farmers take up
to 4/ 5 yields of one cotton plant that keeps the procurement process on until
March end.
The Agricultural related officials estimated 20 to 25 Lakhs quintals
cotton crop in Jalgaon this year but insufficient raining, germs attacks failed
this statistics badly. The Per Acre 4 quintals Cotton crop estimate dropped down
to 4 quintals per acre. The Low raining area farmers could not get second turn
of crop yields and did cut down the plants. The good soil on other hand had standing
cotton plants but could not get that sufficient yield. The district has 80 Cotton
pressing factories out of 35 are running that too in not so good conditions. The
nearby States businessmen are also moving back.
The Jalgaon District Co-operative
Bank seeing handsome agro statistics offered crop loans for this crop is facing
big question marks on return aspects. Last year it received 20 Crores repayment
in crop loans but is yet to cross Lakhs figures this year.

Maharashtra
Versus Uttar Pradesh: The Electricity scenario:
Uttar Pradesh and Bihar now followed by Madhya
Pradesh are amongst top three States facing terrible electricity problems. Our
Maharashtra joined this race since last few years and is marching ahead to be
a leader of this race. Our horrifying Zero Loads and routine power cuts are not
only paralysing routine life but hampering Industries and businesses. We are different
than UP and Bihar Bhayya's in terms of bearing this killing factor and we prove
this by beating up and showing rage on Electricity Company officials and employees
when we face such baffling power outages. Our all Political parties unites together
to tackle this issues and conducts rallies to mark protest. If the scenario continues
the same way, Electricity may become a key issue of vote bank and the Electricity
Company's employees may demand Z Security protection to work for the company.
The Uttar Pradesh people are amongst most patient people in living aspects. They
have various unique solutions to resolve this electricity issue. Amongst foremost
and unique solution is setting up a private enterprise that maintains Power Generating
units set up and gives private individual power supply connections on lowest monthly
costs. These points automatically glows on when electricity goes away thus reducing
headache of maintaining big pocket drilling and noisy generators. Our Co-operatives
needs to take a lesson from this and go one step ahead by initiating Solar Power/
Wind Power/ Power Generators plants and distribute with minimum rates to small
businesses and entrepreneurs. This will provide a cost effective, easy to use,
zero maintenance power supply to everyone and in turn the Co-operative may get
attractive returns on investment in long terms.
