Changing face of Colleges:
College, the powerhouse of education plays a vital role in student's curriculum and establishing his career. With increasing number of colleges every year, the race to leading has begun throughout making learning a never before enthusiastic experience.
In earlier days, the State Government and UGC played a vital role in granting funds for smooth running of colleges. Most of the Government, Private, but Government approved colleges depended a lot on such funds. From last two years, the education field is changing with Government playing 'Baniya' role in the field. Taking Government grants has no longer remained just paper work, the NAAC committee visiting and allocating ratings to colleges marked first ever control over every private college. The NAAC inspection reminds us of schooling days when District Education Officers used to visit schools for inspection. The committee peer team inspects every minute setup details along with onsite live training campaigns and one to one discussions with students.
The most impressive factors on students part is changing paradigm of setup. Almost every College is now a days having fantastic setup with the best resources available, the key factor lacking behind is proper boosting of these factors from time to time to enhance student productivity. So one shall generally ask a question viz. what is the use of such huge setup. The most dashing step on student's part will be forming a small College level group to interact and represent student issues to management. The group can organise small level seminars of experts in the field to resolve the "Teaching Problem" in colleges. There is adequate setup, management willing to provide the best; the only factor is linking the students with faculty members to get the best of education.

The Education field scenario:
With increasing awareness amongst students, education holds utmost significant role in development of youth's personality. The Jalgaon District has witnessed a revolutionary change in Education aspects in last year. Starting up of many new Engineering, Science, and Computer Courses Colleges has changed the way Colleges handled before. Every college has to struggle to fill in their intake and even after taking massive campaigning in media, an average of 20% seats remains vacant.
Considering the current factors, Colleges need to change the way they handle their students. Computers and Intranet (not internet) can help them achieve this goal with ease and at lowest expenditure too. A student enters in a college with his admission process, he/ she has to spend more than two hours in going through current manual admission process. If Colleges setup guidance centre providing the entire admission process on a single mouse click, it shall definite ease the headache of both College and student. It will not only be a low cost affair for college but also will definitely boost student moral. The Colleges can provide various admission forms along with information regarding courses conducted at the terminal.
Another major revolution needed is fixing student's attitude and giving a fine touch to student's personality. If colleges can setup a virtual server with intranet in their campus, they can conduct many online interactive sessions to do so. The same setup can also be utilised to teach students and faculty members with various technical subjects as well.
The perfect intranet usage remains the next step in revolutionising the training industry. It shall not only reduce the cost of communicated with their customers (students) but will also offer the institution with ready data collection that can be used in future. Today's Training industry has adequate machine setup but finds hard to get skilled resources and 95's scenario remained exactly contrary where skilled resources always found lack of high cost machinery to experiment on.

04th October:

'Vijayadashmi', the festivity of victory of Good over evil:
The entire country celebrates Vijayadashmi festival today on the eve of victory of Good over evil. The rejoicing marks a good upcoming year for the people of Jalgaon. The Jalgaon District witnessed many positive happenings throughout the year including the wonderful monsoon raining and formation of Jalgaon City Municipal Corporation.
On business front, the district remained unvoiced and failed to attract newer investments and growth. The existing businesses finds hard to survive due to tough competition from neighbouring competing districts and increasing bad debts. The branded trend formed its footprints in the region with many national brands opening up their exclusive retail outlets. Another critical and dangerously spreading factor is no-maintenance of shopping complexes. Most of city businesses are setup in City Municipal Corporation owned complexes. The corporation has failed to provide basic business necessities and has not concentrated at all on issues relating to facilities required. Even on failing in this part, the newly formed Corporation is thinking of reviewing Shop Taxes due to its inability of repaying its loans. At this stage, an average shopping complex shop owner pays a total tax of around Rs. 8000 per annum. Against this taxation, the shop owners do not find adequate facilities and security setup. Business can progress only when its home ground is fine, these council shop owners remains so puzzled in shop related issues that they find hard to develop their activities and services.
On agricultural front, the district is all set to break its previous crop records with over 140% monsoon raining. The District farmers won various national level recognitions for their efforts in field of Banana and other productions.
No newer industries setup at District meant fewer job opportunities for the awaiting just educated youth. Majority of students from every stream found harsh results for lucrative job search. Another key factor for unemployment remains level and quality of students generated from our existing education system. The existing education system does not evolve all-round personality creating huge gap in requirements and studies. There are still hundreds of thousands of jobs in market, but the employers find lack of skill factor for their requirements. If the things continue this way, we will soon see enormous force of unemployed youths all around us. The unemployment and wide exposure to visual media by means of Television sets may cause these force to turn in criminal world and may raise criminal incidences. What is required is fine touch to students finishing their education in Colleges. Colleges should setup their Student Entrepreneurship Council in association with leading industry and should enact as a basis to provide practical market training at least month training. This education will not only help student earn his bread but will also help companies to get good and fine-touched skills.
So let us all join hands together and lead to a prosperous, peaceful and mutually beneficial and inspiring Jalgaon.
