22nd April:
Rajasthan, the land of traditions and Food:
Rajasthan has been a place of rich Traditional Indian Culture and Classic Food stuff since years. The land is shaping itself to a new standard of Indian tradition with State Government giving maximum priority to boost tourism. This article is an attempt to describe Rajasthan's current scenario and some of its traditions and Food recipes.
Entire Rajasthan is facing drought situation since last 3 years with no to very-low raining in various parts. The earlier so started "Green Revolution" has halted due to no-rain situation in the state. The State on the other hand is witnessing hard time as the political atmosphere is trying to give its life a "Religion-based" touch. The changing political scenario is one of major concern for the State. The raising number of cases demonstrating influence of western-Indian Culture mix-up is another issue of serious concern. It's today's youth is far-behind education revolution and seems to be bit less engrossed in education related activity. A ready to explore Youth is Key to social reform, Rajasthan is lacking in this gene, and thereof a very slow social reform process continues here. Its youth still today continues to be a strict-regular follower of Parental-guidelines and has very low attention towards serious social issues penetrating in society. Group marriages plays a significant role in boosting social moral and helps in strong bonding in various parts of society. Here "Group Marriages" seems to be a hardly ever-organised event. At one hand where Nation is witnessing boom in Communication and mobile technologies, the State needs an infrastructure boost in communication and mobile technology. The BSNL owned telephone exchanges are not coping to customer's demands and there are a few mobile operators that too in major cities only. The fabricated technical glitches in telephone exchanges make people hard to communicate through their home phones. Superstitions are still alive and are claiming many lives every year.
The most pleasing part of Rajasthan is its Public transportation system now a day. With plush brand new roads, every driver enjoys thrilling speed and luxury. Unlike UP & Bihar, State Transport here has signed pact with Private bus operators who runs their buses on State Transport specified routes and rates. Private Buses have satisfactory spacing and seating arrangement and well-managed ticketing system as well. Even interior villages and taluka places have Buses and Railways as media of transportation. Food, carving, ceramics, and small-scale industries are mainline Industries of state.
Another interesting development in Rajasthan is about its people. Most of the people living outside Rajasthan have began building up their Bungalows in their natives and are keen to attend and organise family functions in their natives as they consider it to be a positive status symbol. State NRI's have initiated Educational movement by means of starting up Convent and English Medium Schools, which is another significant aspect of forming generation-next. State has satisfactory power conditions this summer with very-low or no-power cuts even in rural areas. Low-tension n high appetite still is State's jewel. "Eating Competitions" are commonly seen phenomenon in most of the functions.
Every Rajasthani has one appeal for this monsoon; satisfactory monsoon is all what they need to save their farms and employment.
