places where millions offer their worship. Offered with plenty of natural resources
for water, foodstuff, it has powerful labour class.
UP has cherished spicy food style that offers a new means to cuisine and all
those 'Agra Chat Bhandar' we see in our streets are originated from UP. Chat,

Government Engineering College Jalgaon gets
75 more seats:
Considering increasing demand for engineering education in the region, the Government
Engineering College has received approval of 75 more seats making it to 180
seats offering Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electronics and Tele-communication
education each with 60 seats.

DM implies 37(1) and 37(3) in Jalgaon:
The District Magistrate Jalgaon has implied Section 37(1) and 37(3) of Bombay
Police Act 1951 in whole of Jalgaon District from 22nd June until 04th July
2004 in order to maintain Law and Order Situation in the District.
Jalgaon's Softball Team wins State Sub-Junior
Softball competition:
Jalgaon's both boys and girls teams have won State Sub-Junior Softball competition
recently hosted in Murtizapur district. The Girls team defeated Bhandara Team
by 10-6 home run while boys team defeated Yavatmal team by 13-6.

excels in SSC results 2004:
The Jalgaon District SSC students have shown
remarkable performance in SSC results 2004 by achieving passing percentile of
73.96%. Of 47137 regular candidates appearing for exam, 34,896 candidates passed
and of 6291 repeater candidates, 2503 passed making it 39.79 passing percentile.
In all 45 students from Jalgaon District (23 of them are from Jalgaon city)
appeared in merit list of 105 candidates from Nashik Division making it a biggest
success in last many years. Of 45 in merit list, 12 are from RR, three each
from LN Jalgaon, K Narkhede Bhusaval, and New English Jamner while two each
from Pratap Vidya Mandir Chopda, Bhagirath Jalgaon, St. Joseph Jalgaon, Lunkad
Girls, AB Girls Chalisgaon. One each from Vivekanand Secondary Chopda, New English
Fattepur (Jamner), Nutan Secondary Chinaval, Duyyam Bamnod, Rashitrya Chalisgaon,
Shanbhag Savkheda, Sane Guruji Nutan Secondary Amalner, Nandinibai Jalgaon,
Secondary Chalisgaon, Girls School Amalner, Girls High School Raver, and G S
Amalner.
Chopda's Dnyanesh Pandurang Patel stood First in whole of Nashik Division by
scoring 92.80% while Jalgaon's Pallavi Anil Rathod achieved First rank in BC
category.

District authorities to send report for need
of artificial raining:
The District Authorities are forming a report for possible need of artificial
raining in Jalgaon district considering lowering raining in since last five
years. The Authorities have called for a detailed last five years analysis from
water conservation and other departments and will soon send the same to State
Government.
The possible Taluka proposed for raining includes Chalisgaon, Pachora, Bhadgaon,
and MuktaiNagar. The State Authorities are also setting up Radar in Shegaon
to study and provide the artificial raining in the nearby 250kms area.
State Authorities order for formation of JCMC
Sports Council:
With Council converted to Municipal Corporation, the State Social and Cultural
Development Department has ordered formation of JCMC sports council that will
then decide Jalgaon District Sports Team to participate in various sports activities
and the said team will be known as 'Jalgaon District Team'.
Formation of Sports Council will boost sporting talents in District especially
from Jalgaon city.

SSC Results
2004 tomorrow:
After long waiting, the board is announcing
SSC results 2004 on 22nd June 2004. The result copies will be available with
school by 3pm in afternoon. The Secondary School Certification Examination beginning
04th March 2004 until 18th March had 53,714 students appearing from entire Jalgaon
District at 119 Exam Centres. Of 53,714 students, 47309 are regular students
while rest 6405 are Repeaters.
The Results will be availed on Board website after 3pm.
Railway Gate closure:
The Central Railways has announced permanent closure of level crossing number
135 and 139 on Bhusawal to Igatpuri section situated in Jalgaon District due
to administrative reasons and has urged road users to use nearby level crossing.

Ball Team Manager:
The Sports authority have selected Pioneer Sports association's core committee

After fantastic beginning on its traditional
day 06th June, the monsoon seems to have relaxing a bit. There is very less
to no raining in since last 3 days in whole of region causing worry amongst
cultivating farmers.
The region needs deluge rainfall to satisfy the cultivating farmers and water
shortage of the region. The monsoon-beginning trend until now demonstrates good
raining in Bodwad, Yaval, and Amalner taluka while lowest in Jalgaon, Chalisgaon,
and Pachora taluka.

After slowed economy,
the city once again is shining and offering new jobs and good remuneration packages.
Jalgaon being a mainly Trade zone and Agro based community; marketing related
jobs are in hot demand. Chaps with good hands on in selling trade items are

(Gujrati, Sindhi, and Marwadi) having major trade share are now making a diversified
approach towards business. Apart from routine business, farming and property

traders. The 4-5 years earlier investment option in Municipal Markets is fading
and investing in long-term return assets is increasing. Housing schemes at hills

The city earlier having just one engineering college now has five, from just
3-4 Degree colleges to around twelve and from just one management college to

to get the business.
On retailing front, credit limits are increasing making it very difficult for

Punjab Mail accident
case:
The Bhusaval Railways
Court has given clean chit to all ten railway employees found accused in Punjab
mail accident in which its six coaches caught fire and results in death of 18
passengers while injuries to 15. Of 10 accused, one fitter died in between.
The incidence took place on 11th February 2000 and court announced its final
judgement on 16th June 2004. This accident caused loss of 1.5 Crores railway
property while loss of life including those from Jalgaon on Bhusaval to Savda
route.

The Monsoon continues its mega entry into region with raining continued on Thursday
as well. The Monsoon thunder killed four in whole of Khandesh that includes
one each from Chalisgaon and Parola taluka while two from Dhule District. Click

Girana pumping water dock hampering city's drinking water supply. The heavy
wind flow before and after raining caused cut down of electricity supply wires

afternoon time.

Bihar-styled with No Power for more than 10 hours:
Following major fault at City's Shastri Tower
feeder and Pimprala's supply station, the whole of city's business hub including
Navi Peth went dark for almost 10 hours on Tuesday morning.
The failure also resulted in power cuts in various areas of city causing No
power for many hours including Industrial area. Power outage for more than 10
hours made feeling of Bihar and UP where Electricity is a gift from Government
not a necessity.
JCMC By-elections 2004:
The JCMC authorities have received 41 applications for by-elections in three
wards. The election scheduled on 27th June had 08th June as last date for filing
of nominations and 09th June as scrutinising of forms. The ward 16A had 20 applications,
6B had 13 applications, and 9C had eight applications.
JCMC announces Hawkers Zone:
Following its intense anti-encroachment drive, the JCMC announced three
hawker specific zones for city to avoid increasing traffic problems. The Navi
Peth Bank Street, Petrol pump to LIC Navi Peth office road, Ghanekar Chowk area
are three hawker specific zones. Three 17-story building road, Bahinabai Garden
road, Sagar Park road are three time zones for city.

632 students get Class fourth and Seventh Scholarship:
The board announced Pre-Primary Class Four
and Secondary School Scholarship for Class Seven Exam results on 07th June.
Jalgaon District' 206 students achieved scholarship in Class Fourth (68.94%)
and 426 in Class Seventh (37.63%) attained scholarship.
Parola Taluka's Pranjali Bhagwan Patil and Pankaj Dagdu Patil accomplished First
rank in whole of District by scoring 298 marks while Raver Taluka's Harshala
Rajaram Rane scored first rank in Seventh Scholarship by gaining 262 marks.
Monsoon begins in District:
With continuous raining since last two days, the Monsoon 2004 has finally
arrived in District. Raining continued on Monday night with higher intensity
in some locations and medium showering at many places. The raining caused collapse
of roof of a house in Neri village of Jamner taluka resulting in death of a
Mother and her daughter while crop loss of lacs of rupees. The District recorded
total raining of 194.8mm until now in two days with highest raining in Parola
taluka. The Girna dam area in Nandgaon recorded 51mm raining and Manyad dam
area recorded 47mm raining.
The Jalgaon taluka recorded 12.6mm, Jamner - 0, Erandol - 22, Dharangaon - 10,
Bhusaval - 2.2, Bodwad - 4.0, Yaval - 15.0, Raver - 3.0, MuktaiNagar - 0, Amalner
- 3.3, Chopda - 12, Parola - 56.0, Pachora - 3.0, Chalisgaon - 10.0, Bhadgaon

Monsoon raining
arrives throughout Jalgaon District:
The whole of Jalgaon District witnessed Monsoon's
first showering on Sunday evening and welcomed season. Beginning around 5pm
in evening in outskirts of Jalgaon, the city had good raining in night around
9pm.
The raining has reduced temperature by around 5-8 degrees and relieved people
of May heat. The nearby Districts of Dhule and Nandurbar also witnessed raining.
Unapdev Hot water fountain stops:
Jalgaon District's one of key attraction, Unapdev located in Adavad of Chopda
Taluka famous for its continuous natural hot water fountain has dried and stopped
at last. It is said that in ancient times Lord Rama generated this fountain
through his divine power. Mahrishi Valmik's 'Ramayana' manuscript quotes this
place as 'Sharbhangasya sadeh swarga Gamnam' in Sanskrit script.
The forest authorities have installed a Tube well system to continue the fountain
and maintain people's faith.

Monsoons
jingle 2004:
With
monsoon 2004 about to arrive in whole of Jalgaon District, the drinking water
storage in district is touching its lowest levels. There is just 12.91% storage
of water in various dam and if there is no monsoon raining, people of district
will have to suffer panic because of drinking water.
At this stage, around 167 villages are facing shortage of which 39 are on acute
shortage while 22 on tanker supply. The District authority has occupied 128
private wells to supply water.
Muni Shree Tarunsagarji arrives in Jalgaon:
Jain community's young breed revolutionary
mindset saint Tarunsagarji has arrives in Jalgaon for a week. His daily Pravachan
are hosted at G. S. Ground from 08.30am to 10am while evening Pravachan from
6pm to 7pm at Yash Plaza, Pimprala Road Jalgaon.

Social Forestry department to celebrate
55th Forestry festivity:
The District Social Forestry department is celebrating 55th Forestry festivity
in district from 05th June to 13th August 2004. The festivity marks plantation
of 6.25 lacs tree plantation throughout the District to enrich our earth with
lush green environment and maintain eco balance. There are approximate 1,808,700
different varieties of plants available in various nurseries throughout the
District for cultivation.
The Jalgaon region, whose name itself derived from a state full of water, faces
acute water shortage since last 3-4 years following decreasing natural assets
in form of forestry. The Collectorate road, Omkareshwar roads that were once
fully covered by greenery are now totally dried up and blazing hot with almost
no plantation done in recent 5-6 years.

Medical admission
chaos:
With admission season at peak, the State Government
once again seem to be awakening after long sleep. The Government's recent announcement
of control in private medical colleges' fees has spread confusion amongst parents
while College administrations seems moving to legal authorities for the solution.
Whatever the output of legal fight may be, since last two years the Government's
intervention is troubling parents and student community a lot. The State Government's
education department taking no decision throughout the years all of sudden announces
the reduction troubles both students and college administrations.

HSC Results
2004:
With HSC results 2004 arrival, the stage is
all set for crusade to enrol in future courses as per desire. The HSC Results
2004 shined bright for whole State with overall passing percentile touching
72.55%. Out of 37,039 students appearing from Jalgaon, 21110 students passed
resulting 56.99% percent results of which 12 are in merit. The twelve merits
include 11 from MJ College and 1 from Pratap College Amalner.
In subject wise Merit listing, 31 student shines, and 8 students from Vocational
course also demonstrated their exceptional skills. There are 3 students in Science
faculty Merit List while 12 in Arts faculty, 6 in Commerce faculty, and 2 in
MCVC branch.
Of these all students, 13 students from District tops subject wise scores. The
Raver taluka scored maximum passing percent (76.69%) while Parola had minimum
passing percentile (34.74%) of 154 Junior colleges from Jalgaon District. The
science faculty had 75% success rate, Arts faculty 51%, Commerce faculty 64%,
and MCVC had 38% passing.

calls, actual visits requesting results. Apart from this, around thousand visitors
hit EJalgaon's Live Chat Service to know result of their loved ones. The Chat
room had 1116 hits in just one day requesting more than 2000 results throughout
the day. We received more than 300 telephone calls and around 500-600 students
visited SANTRONIX office to get their results.
Interesting to recognize factor is that many people of district learn and use

to masses. Our Education system must play a key role here to educate the generation

we find ourselves in last row of people willing to learn newest and most convenient
technologies to offer best feasible solutions. Our Boards offering results on
web after announcement at colleges, is just another no or lowered use of technology
with excuse expressing fears of students doing suicide if inaccurate data displayed.

token strike today:
The Indian Medical Association, NIMA, Homeopathic
Doctors Association, General Practitioners association, Medical dealers are
going on token strike today morning session to protest beating of super specialist
Doctor and his staff by a patient in Jalgaon city.
The strike will cause no private medical facility and medicines availability
to patients today morning in Jalgaon.
HSC Results today:
The Board is announcing results of Higher Secondary Certification Exam giving
turn to Student's curriculum today. In all 37472 students from Jalgaon District
appeared for exam. Of 37,472, there are 7701 from Science stream, 717 Repeaters,
18,286 from Arts, 4004 Repeaters, 3556 from Commerce, 556 Repeaters, 2034 from
MCVC, 618 repeaters.
The results shall be available on Board website http://mahresult.nic.in from
3pm onwards.
May heat:
The May heat indicates a bit relief for people in region as the figures
indicates lower temperature as compared to previous 14 years May statistics.
On 10th May 1998, Jalgaon had maximum temperature of 47.5 while 46.9 on 23rd
May 1994 and 05th May 2002. Jalgaon had 46.2 temperature on 02nd May 2001 while
46.0 on 18th May 2001. So in all, the May 2004 has a sign of bit relief to people
in Jalgaon as compared to previous years.

With Maharashtra Assembly elections soon, the
District authorities have begun rectification process in Electoral list on 01st
January 2004 basis. The Authorities are publishing revised List on 15th June
and final corrected listing on 11th August 2004.
Bachelor of Education Entrance Exam on 06th
June:
There are seven centres in Jalgaon District for B. Ed. Course Entrance examination
on 06th June. There are 3351 students from Jalgaon, 2499 from Dhule, and 996
students from Nandurbar are appearing for this exam.
