Raining continues:
The monsoon 2003 seems to be breaking all
its previous records crossing 1000mm rainfall mark on Thursday. Friday afternoon
witnessed heavy to very heavy raining in almost all areas of Jalgaon District.
The Monsoon 2003 raining has turned environment lush green and pleasing throughout
the day.
24th
September:
Raining pleases Tuesday:
The
'Uttara Nakshatra' full day Monsoon raining has pleased the entire Khandesh
environment on Tuesday. Raining continued throughout the day with medium to
heavy showers in interval. Climate is still cloudy is expected to continue
raining throughout the week.
The raining has caused damages to some crops while it will benefit the Cotton,
Banana, and Sugarcane upcoming crop.

25th August:
Monsoon raining kills one:
The Friday night begun raining has overflowed
almost every river and dam and is causing damages to standing crop. The administration
opened all of 36 gates of Hatnur dam to control the overflow. A lady drown
in the overflowing Aner river in Chopda Taluka while many of shelter and temporary
shades turned down following heavy raining. The Mehrun lake overflow scene
is just unimaginable with its outlet turning to a mini dam view. Please see

The District administration has urged to use boiled drinking water only to
avoid any sort of diseases. The adjoining Dhule and Nandurbar districts also
witnessed fantastic rainfall delighting common person.
24th
August:
Monsoon downpour in entire Jalgaon District:
The
Monsoon raining since last Friday has turned entire Jalgaon District into
a monsoon enjoying state. Almost all dam supplying water to District are getting
fantastic increase in water level with some over flooding in many areas of
district.
The Tapi, Girna, Purna, Anjani, Titur, Gadad, and Ratnavati rivers are flooded
in various parts while sixteen doors of the Hatnur dam are open to control
the overflow.
The raining still continues throughout Saturday night and Sunday morning making
it one of the major rainfalls throughout the monsoon. However, until now there
is no life casualty throughout district. The MSEB faced problems in maintaining
power causing power cuts in many regions for more than two-three hours on
Saturday.

Monsoon 2003:
The Monsoon 2003 is boosting water
levels at various dam in Jalgaon District. Following statistics shows water
storage in various dam with percentile thereof.
Hatnur - 63 (19.69%) MLT, Girna - 136.260 (27.62%), Manyad - 3.667 (9.11%),
Bori - 6.608 (39.49%), Bhokar Bari - 0.689 (10.54%), Suki - 33.613 (88.41%),
Abhora - 5.730 (95.94%), Agnavati - 1.019 (42.75), Tondapur - 4.638 (100%),
Hivra - 2.338 (26.93%), Mangrul - 6.407 (100%), and Bahula - 8.747 (60.43%).

Monsoon 2003 overview:
The monsoon 2003 has
shown positive marks this year as compared to earlier year. Until July 2003
end the region has witnessed almost double raining as compared to last year.

29th July:
Heavy Rainfall predicted in Jalgaon District:
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy raining in entire Jalgaon District in upcoming 12 hours. All 41 doors of Hatnur dam are open to control the heavy flow of water in the basin.
The low monsoon raining Raver taluka recorded 107mm raining on 28th July 2003. Until now, the Jalgaon district has witnessed 73.33% raining as compared to last year.
28th July:
Showering throughout Sunday:
The monsoon continued throughout the party-time weekend giving the best of raining pleasure. The monsoon showering continued throughout the Saturday night and whole Sunday with heavy raining in some parts of Khandesh. The continuous raining has caused flow above danger mark in Tapi River at Burhanpur. Almost 24 doors of Hatnur dam were opened to control the water level in the river.
19th July:
Good Monsoon raining in Khandesh:
The entire Khandesh belt is getting satisfactory monsoon rainfall this year. Most of the Taluka in Jalgaon have witnessed almost 60% of average raining in respective taluka until date. The nearby Dhule and Nandurbar District are also witnessing good rainfall this year.
Following is Water storage status of Various Dam in Jalgaon District as on 19th July 2003. Hatnur - 30.4 (11.92%) MLT, Girna - 31.360 (5.99%), Manyad - 2.578 (6.40%), Bori - 0 (0), Bhokar Bari - 0.542 (8.29%), Suki - 14.681 (36.84%), Abhora - 2.589 (43%), Agnavati - 0.176 (6.38), Tondapur - 4.305 (92.82%), Hivra - 1.003 (10.45%), Mangrul - 5.685 (88.73%), and Bahula - 4.377 (26.8%).
25th June:
Monsoon 2003:
Following statistics shows talukawise raining as on 24th June 2003 at 8.30am with total raining until now in brackets.
Jalgaon - 56.60mm (335.20), Jamner - 2 (152), Erandol - 65 (140), Dharangaon - 111 (182.71), Bhusaval - 18.10 (149.90), Bodwad - 4 (171), Yaval - 20 (276), Raver - 29 (130), MuktaiNagar - 6 (102), Amalner - 59 (130), Chopda - 97 (254), Parola - 87.6 (155.4), Pachora - 44(160), Chalisgaon - 85 (200), Bhadgaon - 54 (151). Until now, Jalgaon District has witnessed an average of 179.28mm. Water level in various dam in region is also increasing significantly and common person is happy to have such a wonderful start-up of monsoon 2003.
The State Government has announced immediate help to those facing problems due to heavy monsoon in some parts.
23rd June:
Monsoon 2003:
The Monsoon 2003 continues to be in its best form throughout Khandesh. With monsoon downpour, two youth from Asoda drown in Lauki's flooding when then were returning to their home from Jalgaon on their motorcycle. Police recovered their bodies next day in Avhane area. Another incidence took place in Chunchale of Yaval Taluka; when a 42-year old person crossing Bhonak River's bridge was, drown in flood. In all the heavy raining has resulted in approximate financial losses in various areas of district.
Following statistics shows talukawise raining as on 23rd June 2003 at 8.30am with total raining until now in brackets.
Jalgaon - 147.4mm (278.6 - 42.78%), Jamner - 75 (150 - 18.94%), Erandol - 30 (75 - 11.83%), Dharangaon - 19.71 (71.71 - 19.57%), Bhusaval - 20.40 (131.80 - 19.23%), Bodwad - 82, Yaval - 143, Raver - 66, MuktaiNagar - 72, Amalner - 42, Chopda - 65, Parola - 24 (67.80 - 12.06%), Pachora - 67 (116 - 17.14%), Chalisgaon - 40 (115 - 19.33%), Bhadgaon - 51 (97 - 15.75%). Until now, Jalgaon District has witnessed an average of 130.06mm i.e. 20.34% rainfall.
22nd June:
Monsoon 2003:
Monsoon continues at its best in Jalgaon District with medium to heavy raining in various parts of the District. Following figures shows talukawise raining in entire Jalgaon District as on 21st June 2003.
Jalgaon - 127.6mm, Jamner - 64, Erandol - 41, Dharangaon - 35, Bhusaval - 104.40, Bodwad - 82, Yaval - 143, Raver - 66, MuktaiNagar - 72, Amalner - 42, Chopda - 65, Parola - 38.60, Pachora - 41, Chalisgaon - 60, Bhadgaon - 41. Until now, Jalgaon District has witnessed an average of 68.17mm rainfall. This year until now, it has been around 10% raining as compared to last year's 3% raining until now. Last year raining picked up in June last week and continued throughout July.
21st June:
Monsoon pleases Khandesh:
The Monsoon arrival has pleased every part of Khandesh with it's exalt. Since last Thursday night, entire Khandesh is witnessing low to heavy raining in various areas. All three districts viz. Jalgaon, Dhule, and Nandurbar are delighted with good monsoon beginning. Farmers have begun their monsoon crop plantation.
Following figures shows talukawise raining in entire Jalgaon District as on 20th June 2003.

With Monsoon arrival, various diseases like Gastro, Cholera, and Jaundice have also arrived. The JCMC has also urged people to used boiled drinking water to keep away such dangerous spreading diseases. In case you are getting polluted drinking water supply, please report to 2222261-65 or contact your area junior engineer on 22239739 at Girna Tank. In case you find any difficulty, write to Jalgaon City Municipal Corporation (JCMC) directed towards Administrator. Please keep regular checks of your vehicle especially two-wheelers in order to avoid inconvenience caused by heavy raining and road drainages.

Pre-Monsoon raining:
The Jalgaon District has witnessed impressive starter for coming monsoon 2003. Following statistics shows Talukawise raining in Jalgaon District until 17th June 2003.

16th June:
Pre-Monsoon blush continues:
On the third successive day of its arrival, the pre-monsoon raining is in its full form. On Saturday, Jalgaon witnessed raining for more than an hour in the evening time with medium showers in night as well.
14th June:
Monsoon 2003 continues throughout the second day:
The monsoon arrival has shown positive signals with raining continuing throughout the second day as well. Throughout the day, medium showering with heavy showering in afternoon continued pleasing people with monsoon enjoyment. The raining stopped after 6pm in the evening.
The two-day continued raining caused flooding in small canals causing traffic blocks at various points. The Electric cable touching water in Shivaji Nagar Area resulted in death of animal following electric shock. The farmers on the other hand have begun their extensive farming preparations buying seeds and other required resources.
The District administration has announced talukawise statistics of raining until 13th June 2003 in Jalgaon district as follows.

13th June:
Torrential rain welcomes monsoon in Jalgaon City:
The monsoon arrival has given positive hopes in Jalgaon region with welcome raining at its deluge. Raining begun on Thursday afternoon and is continuing throughout the night with changing waves. The cloudburst has caused life of one 18years old youth in HanumantKheda in Erandol Taluka. It caused almost 6-7 hours of no Electricity supply in many parts of the region.
The arrival style has given grin to farming community and hopes of satisfactory monsoon to common person in entire Khandesh Zone. It also has decreased intense summer heat and temperature has gone down below 40.
All the taluka's in Jalgaon witnessed good to heavy raining with adjoining Dhule and Nandurbar Districts observing adequate raining.
12th June:
Welcome Monsoon 2003:
The Monsoon 2003 continues to sprinkle its joy throughout various parts of District excluding Jalgaon City. The Tuesday, 10th June began monsoon raining is keenly awaited in Jalgaon City. Pachora taluka witnessed 11mm with Bhadgaon 12mm and Chalisgaon 15mm raining. The Dhule and Nandurbar District people also witnessed arrival of monsoon raining.
11th June:
Welcome Monsoon 2003:
The Monsoon 2003 has finally arrived in the Jalgaon District last evening. The monsoon showers aroma pleased people of Jalgaon last year with adequate raining, due to which people had no/ very low drinking water supply problem. The Chalisgaon, Bhadgaon, and Pachora taluka witnessed season's first rainfall on around 8.30pm in night.
