The Jalgaon District Administration
conducted fourth round of Bird flu culling has ended. The total culling count
by end of fourth round is 612,000 chickens and a net compensation of Rs. 1.58
Crores has been paid to owners. The District Administration received first report
on Positive Bird flu on 14th February infecting 172 villages' 93,637 chickens
followed by 240,200 chickens in second round, 247,400 chickens in third round
and finally 31,642 chickens in fourth round. The fourth round had Vichkheda (Yaval),
Janve (Amalner), and Jalgaon city and compensation worth Rs. 820,690. The
Authorities have sent 959 samples of died poultry and backyard animals and has
co-ordinated with State Animal Husbandry Authority. The District had arrival of
medical terms from almost all Districts in State. |
