Solar farms - need of time:
The quote ‘India is on real progress on all fronts and we are geared up to be superpower soon…’ raises questions in mind on real grass root situation and picture being painted. Immense electricity, drinking water, infrastructural development needs imbalance in metros, urban and rural areas grips this question further. Living has turned to state of dilemma where person has got a mobile phone in hand, a vehicle to drive, a house to live but doesn’t have electricity to fetch water, lesser or low drinking water, good roads to drive safer and has pathetic State of Government bodies taxing. This leads to no time for thinking of progression, creativity and keeps person involved fully and painfully.
Electricity is amongst topmost worsened State with no end point requirements understandings applied. Electricity reforms on papers suggest billions of implementation for enhancing and smoothening operations but none of basic aspects are handled. Government still runs distribution through its owned Companies and buy produces from privates. Governments really need to work harder to revamp this aspect. In spite of known fact that it lacks control on bureaucracy, distribution has not been privatised and opened with purview of serving citizens. Solar farm is one of such innovative revolution would change life of citizens and above all help governments to look into real development path. Politicians and bureaucracy that still think that money making is only in troubling citizens in basic infrastructural woes needs a matured hand on their shoulder to understand real growth perspective.
Solar farm is new generation source of electricity generation and are a plus with region like ours having extreme heat during peak summer times. Governments have to formulate action plan to allow farmers/ private producers to set up such farms by encouraging them in form of hefty subsidy/ electricity buying assurance at certain rates and aiding them through its floated agency for the same. It could further learn and enhance its action plan through neighbouring Gujarat which is all set for setting up of world’s largest solar power project at Rs. 21,000 Crores with production capacity of 5GW at integrated solar city.
