Searching
for Snacks:
Refreshment
is a party time enjoyment and everyone wish to tang the best. Every city has its
speciality in snacks; likewise, Jalgaon earlier popularly known for its hot spicy
Lokpriya Missal and Prabhat 'Badam Shake' is changing its taste bud with changing
living style. Amongst popular picks now a days are South Indian Dishes, Agra Chat,
Pav Bhaji, and Ice Cream.
Reviewing the refreshment and hotel industry, we
find an interesting fact. The Industry still has more than 60% share of unbranded
Hawkers. The region still hangs up with its older restaurants using their traditional
ways of earning. The College groups still finds harder to have options of restaurants
to party in freely and enjoy the atmosphere.
Sindhi Community younger generation
tops in eating out especially in evening followed by Marwadi and Gujrati community
for outing and going out for dinner on weekends. With lesser number of enjoyment
options, people prefer to go out only on holidays and weekends.
The increasing
visit to "Permit Rooms & Bar" amongst youngsters is an issue of
deeper concern to all of us. The Liquor and alcoholic offering restaurants are
on boom time. We need to reconsider the factor and prosper our society.

Election
fever grips region:
"Election" the sweat word for Political
parties has ringed and all political parties are on their higher state of alert.
May be it any of function, politicians are sure enough to attend and not to miss
the excellent opportunity of influencing masses?
The Khandesh region is a
purely male-dominant Politics playground. Drinking water, inadequate electricity,
worst state of Infrastructure, and lowering business opportunities etc. remains
key concerns of Khandeshi people. What we have in our "Asset" side is
useless Buildings and Shopping Complexes all around the region. In city like Jalgaon,
there is more number of Shops as compared to number of Business Establishments.
The Dhule District is one such district where City Administration used to
supply drinking water after every 15 days during summer. Visiting Dhule in summer
holds humours escape, Invitee says "Drink Cold-Drink but don't demand Drinking
Water," people became used to of getting Drinking water on "ON"
basis demonstrating devastating state of people of region.
"Lowering
Employment Opportunities" remains one of most significant debated issue.
Since last 5 years, no major Industry has seen region as Potential and Good Geographical
location. The existing Industries at Jalgaon MIDC, and Nashirabad region finds
harder to survive with increasing cost of Labour, More of Political Interference
in Labour issues, Electricity Problems, and above all higher cost of setting up
units. The existing major Industrial setups are thinking of moving away from region.
No Administration is concentrating on this severe issue generating anger
amongst people for "Feel Good" factor in politics. The Local administrations
must come ahead to invite a Conference of major industries around the globe and
demonstrate "Advantage Khandesh" to resolve the increasing non-employment
issue. If the situation goes the same way, the earlier UP & Bihari People
trend of working as labours and hunting for jobs in other states will start in
our region as well.

Corporation standing committee has given approval for decrease in House Tax and
Development Tax; abolishment of License Fees for JCMC owned shopping complexes.

Amongst another major decision, The District Business confederation meeting decided
to take compensation charges from JCMC at points where the JCMC authorities have
cut down shades or such temporary constructions. The meeting unanimously called
for JCMC to send primary notices first before conducting such massive destruction
campaign.
13th
February:
City witnesses Strike:
The whole of Jalgaon city witnessed undeclared strike last day to protest massive
campaign taken over by Jalgaon city municipal Corporation authorities to curb
increasing invasion in JCMC owned Shopping complexes. The protest begun when the
JCMC authorities ordered demolishing of all temporary and permanent intrusion
even may be stairs to enter in to shop. The JCMC conducted immense campaign at
a time throughout their all-major shopping complexes leading to fiasco between
shop owners and authorities.
Notable factor is that JCMC owns almost 60% markets
and shopping malls built up in city and most of retail, service industry operates
through these shops. There are in all around 5000 shops in around six shopping
complexes allocated by JCMC on 99 years lease agreement.
The Shopping complexes
termed as Jalgaon's 'Quick Money earning machines' no more remains a point of
attraction apart from just one advantage of location being centralised and in
heart of city. Most of complexes are almost 40 to 50% empty with no to almost
zero cleanliness, water supply apart from other regular problems like water leakage
in shops, toilets, no security, parking issues etc. Amongst city's major markets
is V. V. Market (popularly known as Golani Market - named on its builder) known
for Service Industry business establishments. Almost all Newspapers, Couriers,
Computer Industry related shops, wholesalers, and jewellers working on contract
basis are located in this market. The cash-rich Phule market is famous for its
retailing having Ladies-driven outlets mainly relating to clothing and other general
materials. Amongst third major shopping establishments are Bhikamchand Jain Market
(Old & New) housing major Medical wholesalers, multi-level marketing companies,
Science College, Income Tax Office and other finance companies. The Newly built-up
B J Market is amongst one of major attraction from architectural point of view
- You can take up your two-wheeler or goods trolley until top floor that too by
driving on your own. Wandering in market makes you feel walking in middle of a
road continuously hearing horns demanding you to set aside.
So next time when
you think of buying a shop in a Corporation owned Complex, review the scenario,
see the facilities availed at that point, and think twice before deal.

Adhering in the Past:
We are in 21st Century, well if you say this; you seem to have contradicted
the practical situation. Today we live in the iron grip of media hyped by Western
Influence causing a sort of 'Bhel-Puri effect' in our Culture. We still see numerous
cases of misbelieves and charging environment the 'Jadu-Tona' way. This news covers
such one aspect reviewed on eve of 'Gruh Pravesh'.
'A Bungalow' with all amenities is a family's ultimate passion and when we achieve the dream, we are surely in the state of foment. We invite family and friends to celebrate the Muhurat eve by organising religious songs night popularly known as 'Jagran' and hosting Dinner party. The holy Jagran mainly on the theme of family 'Kul-Deyvat' (Family's deity belief) begins in highly inspiring atmosphere. The professionals' team invited to do so try to recharge the environment with 1000 watts Surround sound or so probably in closed halls. Event begins with Prayer of family deity followed by a series of songs depending on demands thereof.
After an hour or so comes the googly, someone (probably a woman) arriving in association with professionals all of sudden stands up in a different way, taking attention of everyone. She dances, she will to toss up herself, takes deeper gasp, and hoedown herself in a way somewhere 'Goddess' performed in any serials. The Team leader without wasting a moment, invites her on the stage, salutes her, and renames her 'Angel' arrived to rejoice the event. The family head along with senior members and women gets thrilled, prays her, and respects her. The so-called angel and the professionals delight environment in such a way that within an hour, everyone goes beyond normalised state of mind. Many such angels take dawn during upcoming hour or two. The family head holds his breath high, waits keenly for 'angel' blessing in regards to his future and past. The just born 'Messenger of God' delivers his fancy statements with praise and warns. The epic saga ends with professionals dressed up in orange clothing, taking angels nearer to deity idols, requesting her to calm down and settle.
Living in Ultra-modern stage of life, how could a normal human being turn Godly that too within few hours? Who could avoid up stimulus charged at closed room with heavy watts surround sound systems? How a normal person can prudently state future and past of a person without knowing him and his family? No matter what our 'Tantriks' and senior family members calls them 'angel', I foresee their play as just an art of earning bread. Thinking of part of our family and known members turning so, clearly indicates two things: The environment charges them to perform such act and another important factor is a saddle of outlooks laying deep in mind regarding many of family members with respect to day-to-day behaviour.
Beware
of such artifice, rethink of today, and beware especially when you invite on 'Jagran'.
